1997年10月21日内蒙古自治区巴彦淖尔盟杭锦后旗发生5.0级地震,宏观震中位于德义村一带,震中烈度为Ⅶ度,极震区走向为北东东方向。该次地震发生在近东西
向向的狼山山前断裂带上,地震造成房屋倒塌和破坏145间,伤18人,牲畜死亡400余头,无人员死亡。直接经济损失5089万元人民币。
5.0级地震为接近孤立型的主震-余震型,共记录到6次余震,最大余震为MS4.3。震源机制解中节面Ⅰ走向南东,P轴方向南西。推测该次地震是在南西向主压应力作用下,北东东向断层左旋错动的结果。节面Ⅰ为主破裂面,北东东向狼山山前断裂为发震构造。
震中附近地区观测台站比较少,200km内有6个地震台,6个台都开展前兆观测,但仅有3个台开展测震观测;230km有1个包头地震台。5.0级地震前共有异常4条。震前2年,出现地震丛集活动和地震空区;震前半年,出现地倾斜、地电阻率2条异常,震后基本恢复正常。震前1天在极震区出现了一定数量的宏观异常。
Abstract
An earthquake of MS5.0 occurred on Oct. 21, 1997 in Hangjinhouqi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The macroseismic epicenter was located at Deyi village and the intensity at the epicenter was Ⅶ. The meizoseismal area elongated in NEE direction. The eathquake occurred on the Langshan mountain front fault in nearly EW direction. 145 houses and buildings were damaged, 18 persons were injured, more than 400 domestic animals were killed, but no people was killed during the earthquake. The direct economic loss was 50.89 million Yuan.
The earthquake sequence was of mainshock - aftershock type. 6 aftershocks were recorded with the largest aftershock of MS 4.3. In the focal mechanism solution, the nodal plane I was in SE direction and the P axis was in SW direction. It is suggested that the earthquake was the result of the left lateral strike slip of the fault in NEE direction under the action of the principal compressive stress in SW direction. The nodal planeⅠwas the main rupture surface. The seismogenic structure was the Langshan mountain front fault.
There were a few observation stations near the epicenter. There were 6 seismic stations with precursory observations within the distance of 200km from the epicenter, but only 3 seismometric stations among them. In addition, there was the Baotou station, 230km away from the epicenter. There were 4 anomalies before the MS5.0 earthquake. 2 years before of earthquake, there were activity of clustered earthquakes and seismic gaps. 6 months before the earthquake, there were 2 precursory anomalies in tilt, apparent resistivity. There were a number of macroscopic anomalies at the meizoseismal area appeared one day before the earthquake. |
